Seek Immediate Veterinary Care If Your Reptile:

Reptiles have slow metabolisms and often hide symptoms until a condition is severe. Contact a veterinarian immediately if you notice any of the following:

• Has difficulty breathing, open-mouth breathing, or respiratory discharge

• Suffers burns from heat lamps/rocks or other significant trauma

• Experiences a prolapse (tissue protruding from the vent)

• Cannot pass eggs or is straining (egg binding)

• Has severe wounds, deep skin lesions, or active bleeding

• Is suddenly unable to use its limbs or shows partial paralysis

• Has severe swelling, visible deformities, or obvious fractures
